Last year, the\u00a0Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services\u00a0<\/strong>said it was dropping 31 items from OASIS in 2019 totally and two partially (see Eli\u2019s HCW, Vol. XXVII, No. 11<\/em>). But when CMS issued the OASIS-D draft form last month, here are the 28 items the new tool deletes:<\/p>\n

As stated last year, CMS will also delete M2102 and M2310 at certain time points.<\/p>\n

The OASIS-D tool keeps these items CMS originally indicated would be deleted: M1322, M1332, M1610, and M2030. And it adds an item to the cut list: M1313. CMS originally listed the deletions in conjunction with a fact sheet about the 2018 HH PPS final rule.<\/p>\n
