Focus your attention on the OASIS changes the\u00a0Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services\u00a0<\/strong>has in store for 2019. CMS will add three GG Section items, it explains in a 2019 OASIS Change Table on its OASIS website:<\/p>\n

GG0100 Prior Functioning: Everyday Activities (converting over from the current M1900: Prior Function);
\nGG0110 Prior Device Use; and
\nGG0130 Self-Care.<\/p>\n

CMS will also add two items in Section J: Health Conditions:<\/p>\n

J1800. Any Falls Since SOC\/ROC, whichever is more recent; and
\nJ1900. Number of Falls since SOC\/ROC, whichever is more recent.<\/p>\n

While CMS doesn\u2019t list GG0170 as a new item in its change table, the GG item is greatly expanded under OASIS-D (see story, this page<\/em>).<\/p>\n
